I'm not stupid, still beater/rat in both pics..

It looks like stripped purposely on the first version as well, there is no kind of justified usage that will reduce a "recent" bike like a Brooklyn in these conditions.
Unless it was painted with edible paint :) -

Continuing on with the Japanese theme, I guess this kind of qualifies as a rat. Parts are a touch nice though.
Y7,000 Panasonic frame from Yahoo auctions (http://cycle.panasonic.jp/products/pos/custom_order/2015/fpc17/, mismatched cranks, stripped paint, sealed bearing everything etc etc

Locking and unlocking the bike dozens of time a day may lead to that look.
Especialy if the paint quality is poor, and a non-protected chain lock is used. -
• #10756
yeah if you drag your chain along the toptube every time like "I have an expensive frame but look at how little I care about it"

I stripped the paint off mine, but then mine is an old 1970s lugged track frame which was covered in a horrible layer of hammerite. Personally I love the look of raw metal, I had an old DMR Trailstar finished like that.

My old practical rat/beater
weighs about 25kg?
-
• #10775
More like 35-40kg, it's pretty grounded xD
But it can take me (80kg) and around 100kg cargo, so yeah... practical ^^
yeah, it has been stripped though. That isn't natural wear
