After getting my roadie bike damage recently (and spending so much dollars on keep it clean and fresh) I am finally going to get a run around fixie beater for London Town!
I am considering to go via the ride to work scheme and had a few discussion with a few forum members in regards to what to get. The options are:
Genesis Day One bike
Genesis Day One Disc bike
or Genesis Day One Disc framset (2014 853)
My thoughts are that without too much fuss I can get the whole bikes and with the rest of the money get some Enve forks as I don't really like the looks of the steel forks in my book (this can be done for both the normal day one and day one disc). I'm more siding on the normal Day One compare to the disc, mainly because I know nothing about disc brakes and I'm not too keen on the untidy cables that runs along the downtube or the forks. (form over function in my books, that's how us architects thinks unfortunately)
Or to make it more personal and probably a lot more work is gather the parts and build the new girl from scratch.
