It is a Gran Sport indeed! It came with the frame, commonly used back in the days as pista headset as the stack is very low (the same as the record pista).
FCI (Italian Cycling Federation) was equipping most of their track bikes with older Gran Sport HS as they were quite cheap and available everywhere!But yes I agree, this would be much nicer :)

Back in biz with the Somec, couldn't find another CXP33 in 650c, so went for an Open Pro (radial lacing so I could use the old spokes)
