Why is none of this here yet?
Wald baskets getting trendy again. Quite a practical transition from track bikes to mountainbikes though. Dunno if they're walds actually or just some similar baskets strapped to front racks. Walds are pretty crap with their own legs if you carry heavy loads

What is the general consensus about 29+ bikes?
I am contemplating building one from a genesis longitude frameset, going singlespeed at first and maybe adding a rear derailleur later.
Planning on using 3" Knards and 50mm rims.I would want to use it for general dicking around in the woods, maybe a little mountainbiking.

I ran a 29+ front on my Karate Monkey (also singlespeed) through most of the summer and given the option to go back and buy again, I'd probably get a Krampus. The + front was great for rolling up and over stuff and compensates for a lack of finesse on the descents too.

How is the comfort of a 29+ with rigid steel fork compared with, lets say a 2.2" 29" bike with a 100mm suspension fork?
I'm sure the suspension adds comfort but is it that much? I would love to not get shaken to death on downhills... -

It is comfortable, never ridden with suspension forks so I can't give a comparison. Typical Peak riding usually involves a bit of this and I seem to come away better than my friend on his Fargo...
Just popped some ti bars on for a bit of extra give, will see how they work out...

That looks amazing. Thanks for the input.
Now I just need to find the money. -

Am contemplating a Longitude also, as my one bike to rule them all. Touring, commuting, shopping, off roading. I have a Soma Wolverine lined up, more my style, less off road than the genesis, but due to industrial action on the west coast of America, Soma can't get the container off the docks to ship to Mosquito in London! Had a chat with the chaps at Mosquito today, gonna see how the land lies towards the end of the month.

Maxxis Hookworks.
The owner is currently building this, which stirs my loins..
Win! The whole point of modifying the SASS was to have someone post it here.
