This morning's commute and other commuting stories

Light dusting.

Detour through the snowy / ice-mud woods on the mountain bike first thing. Ace. Rest of the commute - bit of slush - meh.

Woke up to snow. Decided to stay in bed. 10/10

Might have to get a proper reading but I've got a few busy road shortcuts so I reckon I'm now a bit below 12.8 using those.

much slush, little snow - was really glad a lot of cyclist chickend out as it was way less busy than usual. 7/10

Bedwetter.

1/2 mile of compacted snow/ice so studded tyres were definitely useful.

Remaining 7 miles slightly harder work due to studded tyres, but pumped up hard they're not too bad as the studs only make contact when not dead upright. #donotlean

You know it's winter when you ride in at 10am and it's still -8°C.
Fucking cold, face frozen due to lack of beard, cold feet and fingers, yet somehow in a good mood.
