  • The sprint contest off those lights can get pretty competitive, got to get the edge somehow.

  • Typical student fixeh skidder Belfast style. No foot retention, going left through a red light onto a street that barely fits two cars in the two lanes it has and there wasn't any gap between cars to go into.

Granted, it was rush hour so traffic moved slowly, but as if there's any need to cause even more aggro during it...

  • Bit of a cunt, I reckoned.

    Probably chasing a COM.

  • This is covered in the highway code and if followed, would allow for ninja cyclists. (And felled trees, wildlife, people walking home from the pub and any other obstruction/danger.)

"Drive at a speed that will allow you to stop well within the distance you can see to be clear. "
That means slowing down for blind corners and driving appropriately on unlit and narrow roads where the furthest you can see to be clear will likely be the beam of your headlights.

Most people just seem to ignore this though.

  • Everyone ignore this though.

    FTFY.

    Driver's opinion are law.

  • To the 4 riders of the flur-ocalypse who buzzed me at speed as I sat in primary waiting for a red to change on Tooley St: Fuck you.

    That is all.

  • Eh, what does that have to do with red light jumpers during rush hour?

Doing all that anyway...I'm the person who causes everyone rage doing 20 in 30 zone cos there's lots of pedestrians/slowing down on dark country roads etc... ^=^

  • Bollocks. Have I replied to the wrong post?

    Sorry!

  • Bollocks. Have I replied to the wrong post?

    Sorry!

Is it time to call out bad responders?

  • Ah, no. In my hurry to catch up, I replied to a post from 2 months ago! I should have quoted. Sorry for the confusion!

  • lolz

  • Phew, for a moment I thought this was the bike porn thread...

(which can be summed up as fight FIGHT fight) ;)

  • We're much more civilised in here!

  • I've done that a few times when I think I'm replying to the last post so I put "I agree, ha ha!" And then realise the post before mine says "I like to dress up as a lady" or something.

  • Nothing wrong with that, is there...?

    :P

  • I agree.

  • WTF was that rider doing, why the hell change lanes slap bang in front of the lorry?

  • Yeah, that was quite dumb, obviously the lorry driver should look out for dumb people before moving, but it was still dumb.

  • Does make me laugh I have a camera on my head to show how stupid drivers are when I force them into being stupid by doing a stupid dumb move. Then posting online, starting to see far to many of those now.

  • If you can't see the drivers head from the front then its safe to assume he can't see you. Surely that's just "I don't want to cause my own death" common sense.
He could have conveniently captured the footage to absolve the driver of blame if it had crushed him.

  • Park in blind spot and cut in front of lorry... Hmm. Not the best idea.

  • To the stupid cunt at Shoreditch High Street/Old Street crossroad this morning who replied to my "Oi, look where you're going!" with "You look where you're going!", please think of a wittier retort rather than repeating what I said and do check your right shoulder when crawling along the gutter of the left hand lane before deciding to turn into the right hand lane. Twat.

  • Face palm 'em off.
