Moral of the story: run them down properly, if they're not unconscious knock them out, steal their wallet to cover your costs. Sorted.

I think it's probably best to remember, that whenever I say something, especially on here, about things that have nothing to do with watchmaking or track bikes and their constituent components, that I am only either half right, or just completely wrong.

Can I add that about me, except without the bits about horology and track bikes?

Back to commuting.
Out on the lash tonight so decided to make use of my minicab account this morning. Terrifying, I'll stick to cycling in future thank you.

Train was packed, smelly and steamed up.
-
• #4782
^and that was why today, despite coughing up gobbets of mucus, I used the bike for the first time this week. Such happy.
-
• #4783
You certainly can. We can be wrong about stuff, but we can be damn well good at it.

I think the fear of it being cold and snowy put a lot of people off today, hardly saw another cyclist until Borough. Two things I've noticed over the last few weeks, driving ability seems to get worse by Thursday and damn right dangerous by Friday? Also, pinch points are like are the equivalent of a red rag to a bull for a car.

My old mate's been nicked for driving his charabanc through a D Day parade, the chuffing knobber.
-
• #4786
Jesus fuck that was a cold morning.
Much prefer to ride in -5 than to endure sleet for the whole duration.
0/10, no onion.

I'm so fucking sick of CUNTS driving like FUCKING CUNTS behind me up the hill I live on. Beeping like pricks and overtaking like fucking cunty cunt cunt fuckers.
I will fucking lose it with some cunt one day.
Who do I write to to get something done, infrastructure-wise?

Your local councillor is your best bet. Get them on your side then let them take up the cause. It's what they are for.

Errr...
"Duh, I can see a blockage in the road, caused by a complex and conflicting series of actions and reactions. Better sort it out by tooting my fucking horn. After all, it does have the power to physically move large objects."

Stonking ride in - Archway via Ally Pally to the city - bit of a loop but great views from AP as the sun rose. Fingertips chilled but otherwise all good. It's up there...9/10

I really enjoyed the sound of icy puddles breaking beneath my wheels this morning on the unlit muddy sections of towpath. The reassuring crunch which signifies the tyre making contact with the ground beneath the ice and finding something which resembles grip.

Really sore legs from Sunday Club run so swerved the commute in, got the train was packed and late should have manned up and cycled.

If you ride through Forest Hill take care on London Road by the turning to Honor Oak Road (by the Tesco garage), there is a burst water main and the road was covered with solid ice this morning.

Very happy with layering today, nice and snug and not a drop of sweat from a 14 mile commute. Weird but nice.
-
• #4799
Not a drop of sweat?
Ride harder you lazy middle aged nodder.

And you always have to go one better don't you. I get a 13 mile commute so you have to get a 14 mile commute.
We should merge them into criviminil law, that would take care of most of the confusion. Where's hippy when you need him?
