Glad that you agree I'm faster even if you did have to resort to the devil's.. maths.
I think you'll find he had quite a bit of tech on his side. How many hours has he spent in wind tunnels in his career? How many sponsors did he have buying his go-faster bits when he rode that 12? How much time had he spent with the British team or trying to get on it or whatever he chatted about in his book? I'm pretty sure he would've picked up some decent tips.
