  • It is painted on, we use decals as a stencil.

@AMAC and @Señor_Bear You both know what a stencil is right? Or does it have to be applied with brush for you to be happy?

  • U mad bro? LFGSS experts are experts IN EVERYTHING!

  • I think people are getting a little confused. We use decals as a stencil.

    First we paint the frame our desired colour for the decals, like this;

We then place the decals on and paint over the whole frame blue. Once enough paint it on we remove the decals and lacquer over.

  • Why are you bringing me in to the conversation about stencils? I couldn't give a monkeys.

  • Ahahahaha.

  • Can everyone just leave my mum out of this please?

  • My bad, it totally looked like you posted in the discussion pointing out that OP could be scrutinized for not doing proper painting.
    as you were. :)

  • For 2015 we've got some really exciting things planned.

We'd like to work with riders who race (amateur, semi-pro, pro - it's all good) by offering our paint-work service. I understand LFGSS has a great mixture of riders so please feel free to get in touch. We're also offering our bespoke service to retailers and manufacturers, people seem to notice the bike before they notice the kit!

Nothing majorly exciting but here's a Haro frame in for acid-dip, powder-coat and lacquer.

  • I ride fixed, semi-pro. Want to paint my TT helmet?

  • Picture of the Haro frame above now it's been powder-coated.

Please excuse the mess on the floor caused from wet sanding.

After installing new blasting facilities to our workshop I'm extremely happy with the results. Frames in for powder-coating have a much smoother finish and we can spray paint on much thinner.

  • @JamesNQ Looking forward to seeing the Harry Quinn shortly!

  • @PQR here she is!

  • Here's what we're currently up to...

All masking done by hand, no printed stencils have been used. Frame + forks are going red/white/blue. We paint the white on first, mask it up then paint the red and blue after.

  • Kona frame received a coat of gloss lacquer, now ready to send back to client!

  • Also more updates on the Rourke frame, she's now red, white and blue!

  • Finished!

  • Ok that's good.

  • Jheeeeeeez

  • Thanks guys!

Something pretty cool coming very soon. Ferrari have Rosso Corsa, Bianchi have Celeste - we have purple. It's taken nearly 3 months to get the colour perfect but we're convinced we've got it. I'll be showing the final colour in the next few days but here's step 3 of the mix (we're keeping it a secret what goes into the paint)

  • Website and email went down for a few days but all up and running again, all emailed will be responded to tomorrow.

    James

  • My Gazelle is in for the treatment..

in primer and ready for some paint!

  • Lemme guess.. Purple?

  • Signature colour going live today/tomorrow on cycling blogs and social media, will post links when they're up.
