Looking at these electronic systems, why are the derailleurs staying essentially the same? I wonder if it'd be possible to achieve shifting speed with a solenoid actuator (pushrod?) inboard of the chain stay? Out of harms way, smaller and lighter? There must be someone working on an entirely different method of shifting?
