Speedplay do custom axle lengths though. So providing you're not a duck footed pedler. You could achive minimal Q-factor. From his posts on here. I'm willing to bet Xavier was minimising Q-factor.
My initial knee jerk reaction that the float allow a more contorted position. Was probably a little off the mark.
Nah, he probably just reduced stack height and so dropped no, wait, increased saddle height. Q-Factor is important but I thought the axle swaps were generally for people needing to go wider not narrower.
