I bought the rain hooded jacket after trying the red one on
its actually really nice, its not as garish as it may seem, the cuts definitely fine for off bike (you're not going to wear it on a day out without a bike at all, but it doesnt look like a nodder cycling jacket at all IMO)

@rogen How's the fit ? I find the jackets tend to run a bit larger than the sizing suggests, I've gone with a medium i'm just between being a medium and large.

I'm normally a small but can also get away with XS, and i went with a small,
its not 'skin tight' or 'race cut' but its definitely slim, not baggy at all

How do the touring shorts measure up compared to swrve?
-
• #19181
I'm 30 waist in both @umop3pisdn
Touring shorts are more forgiving as they have a bit of stretch -

Does anyone know when the sale ends? I'm having deliberations but don't want to miss out because of them!

Quick! BUY BUY BUY! It'll make you feel better and improve your life.

Yeah, already done.
I think the hooded rain jacket is well worth the £120 even with the nuisance hood arrangement. I'll probably modify it with some velcro instead of using that silly strap.

Also, I can now see why there's such a feeling of hatred for Rapha from some people.
I visited the Cycle Club in London yesterday and the staff were excellent, enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable both in the retail section and in the cafe (where I had one of the best coffees I've had in a long time) but about 80% of the customers (a number arrived at through casual observation over the course of an hour or so rather than scientific study) seemed to be complete arseholes. Rude, obnoxious a bit dim and quite sneery.
Is this normal or did I just happen to be there on some kind of arsehole open day?
Big props to the guy commuting in full Pro-Team gear though - winter bibs, softshell, l/s jersey, mesh baselayer, winter hat etc) and a backpack. Nothing like being prepared for a dry day in the city.

^ most of the times i've been in, the store half is just wealthy city types looking to some cash on their lunch

'Ex Duris Gloria' roughly translates as 'Everyone else that wears it is a wanker'

The Hood Rain jacket has just arrived this morning, the colour isn't as bad as I feared. Nice fit in the body and arms having sized down, just a little short in lenght, but there's always the baboon's bum flap to deal with that....HOW pink !

I've never had that problem, and considering how close it is to regents street I think its usually quite chilled.
Unfortunately everyone else seems to have realised it's a good place to chill and much like LMNHs it does seem a lot of people come for the coffee. -

The quality seems extremely superior to DHB ones that I use; in sale only a tenner more than DHB
Hope I can fit a glued stretched folded tubular in the seatpack ..

Might be easier to hire someone to drive behind you.

Connie Carpenter jersey bought for my partner.
Feeling pretty jealous frankly.

3 week turn around to repair a shirt, gilet and base layer. They look good, unless you are close up, but the customer care that they show, doing it for nothing is amazing !!!

I hope so; I have should have one waiting for me when I get home today. Just in time for next weeks Artic Weather Bomb (TM)

What's the forum view on the winter base layer? Bit warm for the UK, or useful with a l/s jersey?
It's £10 cheaper than the long sleeve base layer in the sale, so wondering if it's better to save the money

I don't own one, but I'd use one.
A regular SS Merino some other LS base over the top is the alternative.
^ I'm thinking of getting this.
Does the cut allow it to be worn off the bike?
