Food did however solve the British / Russian blue debate, mates of ours went to Moscow and came back with some Caviar and dodgy faggs, he didn't like the caviar but will happly scoff fish from the local fish and chip shop. So i guess hes a British Blue.

Taking the Wolf to the vet this saturday, he's been rather subdued this week. He also keeps licking his lips and seems to have an irritation on the left side of his mouth. I've had a quick look and can see nothing obvious. He's still eating - although not as much.
If I go to stroke his head sometimes he flinches away, when usually he stands up to headbutt me.
He's also become very clingy - has to sleep next to me and wants cuddles all the time, although he's a lazy fucker - he's sleeping nearly all the time, and also has started sleeping under the table and in our alcove under the stairs.
I think he might have a tooth issue, whatever it is he's not right poor bugger. -

Did you manage to get it sorted in the end? Coz I came home not long ago and found the waste pipe been chewed through, and it wasn't the cat this time because the door has been kept shut all day...

Speak to the council environmental health.

Thank you, that really made me laugh.

Hopefully we got it sorted for now. We bought a one way flap for fitting at the end of the waste pipe so it stops anything from coming up... and the chew marks were too small to indicate a rat, but will speak to the council anyway... Thanks.

How did Wolf get on? Sounds like my Sam was, and I even had "the talk" with him (there was a Sam before you, there will be one after you, but you've been a fantastic part of my life etc) thinking I was losing him, but it turned out to be a head cold! A frigging head cold. He is fine now. Almost.

He's going through phases, which makes me think it may be intermittent tooth ache. He was quite perky yesterday and totally wolfed the food I gave him (I've taken him off auto feed so I can monitor his intake) he was ravenous. This morning he was all quiet again and really subdued and clingy, he's still licking his lips and I've noticed that his nose looks a little sore. The main thing is that he's still eating - but there's defo something wrong. I've got him booked in at the vet on Sat morning.
The good news is that his new cat box arrived yesterday and its a lot bigger than his old one he'd grown out of, once Mike assembled it, he came back in the room and found the cat asleep in it!
Would recommend this carrier, really sturdy, plus the cat seems ok in it - we'll see how he copes with the trip to the vet though. You could easily get two cats in it.

Hope everything goes well for Wolfie on Saturday, maybe he's just upset about the darts results.

You could be right, he was watching it on Sunday but then went and hid under the desk in the office after Martin Adams missed his 14th double 16.

Intervets - Boy cat's eyes keep getting irritated, and look very pink and sore on the skin around his eyes. His eye/s gunk up a bit, but everything sorts out in a day or so.
The internet, is as ever, filled with utter crackpot catpeople bollocks advice.
I'll take him to the vet this weekend, but I'm still interdasted in other people's experiences.

One of my cats had something similar, years ago. Can't remember what was wrong because it was years ago, but the vet gave me a little tube of eye gel for him, and he'd* shred the ever-loving fuck out of me every time I picked him up to apply it. A pair of these might help: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chain-Mail-Glove-/111570914284?pt=UK_BOI_ProtectiveGear_RL&hash=item19fa250bec
* the cat, i mean. not the vet.

Boy is soft as blancmange - He doesn't do whirlwind of claw and fang.
^ Conjunctivitis sounds likely
I'm hoping that the cause if just mild bacterial infection, or even something that he rubs his head against, as opposed to something nastier and less easy to treat.
I had no idea that Richard Herring spoke such good german.
