Merkin sniper was pretty fucking good, even with all the anti war bias I took into it. There was a good portrayal of how hard that kind of shit is and how it can affect someone. It's a very one sided account of a war but it's not really about the war, just one guys experience of it, so it's probably right in that respect. I expected shooty action and got more, then realised Eastwood directed it (somehow missed this before watching) at the end and realised he makes some really moving movies, almost makes you proud to be an American.
