It's sounding brutal out there in s.manc so I can't imagine how bad it'll be up there. Serious chapeau to anyone who starts let alone finishes... plus spare a thought for the volunteers/support crews!

I've got a friend out there at the moment... Apparently just coming up to a charming place called "Cripple Hole Hill".

Looks tough but also slightly jealous.

^ similarly would love to have a go. Other clubmates are today doing the 20mile trig race the other way finishing in Edale. Much gentler conditions today if still v.windy judging by weather at home.

Almost 1/3rd of the short race field has retired. Ouch.
