I meant actually own a factory and do their own R&D etc.

I dont think it matters to have an in house 'factory' (craddock makes carbon frames out of a garage) the R&D is more important and I trust Genesis on that. They are one of the most creative British cycling brands atm.

In terms of cheap vs expensive carbon. It doesent matter.
