  • How much did good ol Winston pocket from from his love of chelsea?

    Ray?
    Churchill?
    Chill?

  • Your last paragraph says it all and the last two words nail it.

has a bit of a sit down

  • Nearly in Southampton now, hoping for a bit of cup magic that nevertheless doesn't distract us from the league.

  • I'm praying that you get such a pasting that it ruins your player moral for at least a week.

  • Well you didn't get it! We soaked up the pressure well, but Southampton are a class team and I get the feeling that if they really wanted to, they could have torn us apart.

As it stands, we can read it as being able to hold our own against PL sides and let it boost our promotion push.

Anyway, it wasn't 7-0 like it was against Chelsea a few years ago, so we have fully recovered from Roy Keane now.

  • Why is Jimmy Bullard on telly, is he on coke and why can't he work buttons?

  • Those were also my first three thoughts when seeing him.

The fourth was "What's the name of the woman he looks like?" I think Auntie's make up people had some fun with him.

  • The fourth was "What's the name of the woman he looks like?"

    Peter Stringfellow.

  • Looks like Oldham are set to sign Ched Evans. I remember seeing them play with Lee Hughes up front after his release from prison. I had to check whether they'd ever had Marlon King on their books as well to make it the holy trinity of lowlife cunts.

  • Valencia have beaten Real Madrid, bringing about an end to the record winning streak talk

  • Barca could go top again if they beat Moyes' Real Sociedad.

It's a shame that Sevilla, Valencia etc haven't kept up as well as they threatened to.

  • Moy-es beats Barcelona. If only United had realised what a talented manager they had in charge the good times could still be rolling.

  • Herzog & de Meuron working on plans for Chelsea FC 5 January, 2015 |
    By Richard Waite

Herzog & de Meuron is understood to be working with Lifschutz Davidson
Sandilands on proposals to increase the capacity of Chelsea Football
    Clubs Stamford Bridge home

The AJ has learned that the practice behind the 2008 birds nest
National Stadium in Beijing, China is looking at concept designs for
the potential revamp of the clubs existing 41,837-seat stadium in west
    London.

The Swiss-based firm has already designed one major football stadium
project - the much-publicised Allianz Arena, in Munich, Germany - and
is working across the capital on the extension to the Tate Modern.

In June, Chelsea FC announced it had commissioned a study to review
different improvement options for Stamford Bridge, which could include
decking over the railway line to the east and the north of the
stadium, and had launched consultation on the extent of the plans. The
club wants to increase its capacity to nearer 60,000.

Chelsea has previously looked at several new locations for a new
stadium including Earls Court Exhibition Centre, White City and, with
KPF, at Battersea Power Station south of the Thames.

However the club faced opposition from supporters and the Chelsea
Pitch Owners plc, which stipulated that the club needed to change
their name if they moved from Stamford Bridge.

In a statement released by the club in the summer about the Stamford
Brigde study, a spokesman for Chelsea FC said: A study of the area
from Fulham Broadway town centre to Stamford Bridge and beyond has
been commissioned by Chelsea Football Clubs owner Roman Abramovich.

This study will review the potential for improvements to
publicly-owned areas along Fulham Road and the area around the
football ground, including the possibility of decking over the railway
lines to the east and north of the ground. This could create
landscaped public walkways and cycleways, while also reducing
pedestrian traffic on Fulham Road and nearby streets on match days.

The study will also assess the feasibility of an expansion of the
stadium within the existing historic site boundaries, potentially to
enlarge its capacity, enhance its facilities and improve the movement
of people and vehicles on match and non-matchdays.

Neither Herzog & de Meuron and Chelsea FC were available for comment
    about the appointment.

  • Herzog & de Meuron are awesome, they'll do an amazing job if it happens...

  • There appears to be a spot of trouble in Barcelona.

  • do we get suarez back ?
    whats happened

  • Chelsea v Millwall (if Millwall beat Bradford) - belting stuff.

  • Would have preferred to get Man U away, but we'll take it (for the inevitable telly money).

  • Akinfenwa's a good all round bloke. But our area for their corners with him lurking:

  • I watched him at AFC v CUFC a few weeks ago and he must have won 90% of the headers he contested (and he's not tall). Decent skill too but then you won't play up front if you're shit (insert obvious counterexamples here...)

  • He should never have been booked, happy for him. Happier for us though. Were doing well for underdogs.

  • another CUFC fan? Glad I'm not the only one!

  • Leicester beat Chelsea to the signature of Kramaric.

Good signing, does mean they've spent decent lolly on their front line.

Scott Sinclair has had enough of being an Adam Johnson impersonator and is off to Villa Park

  • CUFC being Colchester? Or Carlisle?
