  • Forerunner 110 is pretty basic.

    Only gripe about the 110 is that it doesn't give you your current speed, it only displays HR, distance and average speed when you're recording. When not recording it does give current speed but not distance (obviously). If you set it to auto-lap every 1km you will get those 1km splits to give you an idea of your recenpace.

    The average speed is still good enough for me although I tend to run by feel (or glances at HR) anyway. I try not to look at average speed as it just makes me want to push harder which is not what I need to be doing.

    Parkrun PB today (only I forgot my barcode). Will have to wait to see what the official time is as GPS gives one thing (which is reliable), when uploaded Strava gives yet another (wildly inaccurate) time.
