    As @tilover said, there's no real disadvantage to a suspension-corrected 29er, unless perhaps you want low bars on a XXXXXS frame size? All you're really doing is limiting the choice of nice XC frames that are available to you, as the majority of 29ers will be designed to use suspension, or a rigid fork around 470mm a-c.
