Frozen hard overnight here, hopefully the roads will be clear.

Rode balloonbike to hospital. No problems. Side roads might've been more of an issue.

Technically it just made them feel warm - a nice thing for the start of a short ride but counterproductive eventually.

Managed 107km to Colchester today on slightly bigger roads than normal and almost no ice. It's put me annoyingly within reach now.

Anyone want to join me for 130km tomorrow?

@dbr I'm considering a year ending ride out South West, a bit shorter than you'd like but you could add bits to it at beginning and the end? Maybe something like a repeat of this as it was pretty decent the other day. Was thinking 10am set off, but not 100% set on the idea.
(in theory its minor headwind out, minor tailwind back home).

For me its between this and an early morning Sufferfest video and a run, not sure which I'm going to choose. Will have decided by tonight though.

So today was the second day in a row I've seen the same crew of brklz fixie skidders - today in Richmond, yesterday in Regents.

Bikes were Cinelli (Mash?) with chopped risers, vintage F. Moser, and I can't remember what else. Today one of them was on a blue CX machine with fluoro orange bar tape.

That sounds pretty ideal Henry. Getting to and from Richmond would more than make up my extra 20km. I'm not in brilliant form after Christmas though so I'm a bit worried about slowing you down... 30kph average eh? Today I did 25, though that was partly rough tracks and things...

I'll be doing Battersea Park laps early tomorrow if anyone wants company/miles.

Done. 512km - fixed. Naff all climbing though, and very slow. Too much cake slow.
