  • There are imperial works items listed in that sale link. They planning on flogging those off to hoi polloi?

    http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop-/sale/category/winter-sale

  • It would appear so. I assume this is the result of the Imperial Works programme closing down in favour of the £200-quid-a-year club.

Anyway, that's my Christmas present for me sorted.

  • Although it seems for many of the imperial works items clicking on them leads to a login page rather than details of the item.

  • Hmmm, if I log in then it takes me to the item details.

  • Imperial GS Thermal Bib Shorts - exactly what I was after. The "GS Imperial" around the side of the leg will make me feel all the more exclusive. Fab. 150 coins well spent IMO

  • do they know it's rapha sale at all?

  • ^ Yep got a pair of them too. Stock levels of the imperial works stuff are currently better that the pro stuff in the sale, so well chuffed about getting thermal shorts in a regular size.

  • I am the happy recipient of the new Brevet Jersey - I can reveal that it is rather bright.

  • The other half told me earlier this year that the Davis Phinney Jersey was awful, it was a ruse as she had already bought me one and did not want me buying one for myself.

  • They are winter butterfly approved:

  • Hoorah! It's nice isn't it?

  • Site down.....I've got a voucher to splurge!

  • click click click.. boots filled

  • Any codes still working to really make this sale count?

  • Are the GS imperial bibs good?

  • same as other bibs, just different writtens

  • GS thermal bibs in all sizes in the sale look decent value then

  • I have the non G.S. Thermal Bibs and they're one of the best things I've ever used.

Incredibly versatile - not too hot if the weather is warmer and I'm still wearing them now with leg warmers and they're perfectly comfortable.

  • Trying to work out whether or not I can justify buying the matching G.S. winter jersey to go with them

Btw regarding sizing on the bibs - am 6 foot dead with a 33 inch waist, medium be fine? (Hope so!)

  • Should be fine on the bike, ball slicing off it mind as the straps are not the longest.

  • Congratulations, you have found the one day in the year when the hardshell is a genuinely useful garment.

  • I wore my hardshell too, a Christmas present and my first bit of rapha ever, and I think I am a convert...

Also maximum thanks to the chap on the shop who said "I'd go down a size if I were you"

  • currently 50% sale

  • Hardshell for me too, today and yesterday. At last, I have an excuse for having bought it.

  • Long sleeve base layer, Brevet jersey, Winter jersey, winter hat, bibs+winter tights, lobster mitts.

Fine and dandy apart from Toes Of Death
