  • I've got some new red22 ones 53/39 you can have for £60 if you want morgan, for that uniform look, but I agree with howard, the darker force22 ones would look better

  • That's really kind of you, but my first priority at the moment is getting a frame which isn't going to fall apart on me...

  • Ah yeah, forgot about that

  • Did your frame disintegrate? You don't have much luck with bikes.

  • Dammit bent the CT2s with his mega-fatness tho

  • Good work

  • ^^CX fork?

  • Joined the club over the holidays. Not had much chance to ride it yet, steerer will get trimmed eventually. Internal battery is on the cards in the new year

  • Nah, that's just the way they look in smaller sizes. Headtube angle goes a bit funny.

I think looking at this build, I'm going to buy a CAAD10 and switch my Hollowgrams on to it. s'gunna be good.

  • Looks classy Too Tall Tim - well proportioned for someone that's too tall...

  • His torso and each limb of his body is proportionately too tall

  • I too just joined the Cannondale club, my first road bike, my first cannondale. I got a relatively basic CAAD8 Sora in 54cm. I can't wait to ride it. Soon as this snow gets a move on and clears off i'll be out riding. Thats for sure. Shame i didn't bring my shoes back home for the holidays. I guess trainers and cheap cages it is!

With this being my first road bike, are there any essential things i should buy? Gears and brakes are a mystery to me. What sort of maintenance do they need?

  • Just wipe the chain down with a rag after soggy rides.

Some full length mudguards like roadracers or PDW will work hard to keep it running sweetly over the winter and leave you little to do.

  • Bracing myself for severe dislike

  • Garish tape, but i like it!

  • Thanks! Should I go back to black on the tape?

  • Personally i think it looks good! It won't be to everyone's taste though!

  • Bit too matchy matchy for me, but it's a hell of a bike.

Take that fucking GoPro off, for one.

  • Shit! You weren't supposed to see the go pro. I was making a sufferfest type video.

    Thanks for feedback though

  • I don't like the cranks, but I do like the tape.

It's nicer than any/all of my bikes though so 9/10, would anonymously pass comment on again.

  • I'm sure tester will quantify it, but I would guess that the drag of the GoPro will more than cancel out the aerodynamics of the wheels...

Still, you're probably riding a bike that it would be tremendously difficult and ludicrously expensive to improve upon, performance-wise.

  • I have 50mm deep carbon wheels, and a rack.

Therefore, I feel no shame about putting the Go-Pro which I received for Christmas on my handlebars today.

  • I think it looks great.

You need to re-do the photo though, with the chain on the big chain ring (and without the go pro).

  • I'll redo the picture tomorrow, you're definitely right.

To be fair the go pro has spent approximately 2% of the bikes life attached

    Appreciating the feedback
