Rode Voodoo to work to drop off secret santa shit that people didn't pick up or left behind on Friday, because I'm such a nice bastard. Actual reason was to pick up my clothes (change of, I didn't leave work naked) and meds. No computer, no idea of time, don't like knobbies but do like riding over everything and disc brakes are nice too.

You'd make a good Santa. Stick on beard, 24 hours to deliver... Go!

I'd eat, drink, fuck or break all the gifts though.

After nearly a month of either having a cold, vomiting bug, cold...felt it was time to go out on the club run on Sunday. Lasted 15 miles before deciding to call it quits, lungs and legs burning, face full of snot. Rubbish.

Not even a weekend, but for me, it's a great opportunity to ride on quiet road without traffic fucking it up like on a weekday, I always work weekend which is fine, but couldn't do ride with girlfriend, or go on club ride.
Decided to get out of bed at 7am to do 150km solo ride to Henley and back, could not do a full Century as I promised the girlfriend I'll be back by 1pm.
Today was gloriously horrid, it very much remind me of When The Wind Blows, landscape look scarred by a nuclear winter, surviving drivers hurriedly whizz by as if they've just managed to avoid the blast by driving under bridges, and a couple of elderly walking down the road with potatoes sack on their head.
It's cold, I kept thinking about being in bed instead of doing a bicycle ride right from leaving the house waiting for the GPS to be kick in, handlebar mount snapped, rat, quick fix with spare laminated toe strap helped.
Still too cold, just it's not getting any better with the sun almost invisible by the grey cloud, even after Henley, stop at Sonning's petrol station to grab a small piece of carrot cake and a couple of chocolate bar to store.
Did not like Drift Road at all, it's nice and straight, sure but the main reason is that it's a perfect road for drivers to hit someone and claim they didn't see them.
GPS tell me to go through Windsor Park, didn't really draw the route properly not realising there's a no cycling section, no problem, I'll just do a big loop round it.
GPS keep telling me to go back to the original place where I left, 10km down, still telling me this, fustrated, pull over several time to try and stop it rerouting, end up missing a turn, went back, after 20 minutes it finally follow my route.
Home stretch was lovely, about 30km/h from Sunbury to Wimbledon.
3/10, would not do again.

Kazakh and I took a typically meandering, nose-following route home from my mum's yesterday. Climbed Lieth hill and Box hill, mad detour to godalming because we missed the turning. It was cold but a beautiful day. And my Croix de Fer has started to feel like it is helping me up the hills, partly due to how stable it is under a heavy load (was carrying a week's clothes plus presents). We hadn't been very organised about food, so after running out of cereal bars stopped at a pub in Lieth hill and bought four dairy milk bars and a bag of peanuts. We both ran out of sugar in wimbledon and limped home, went out and had an enormous curry. Average speed about 13 mph, possibly 15 if I cut out the time we spent stopping and trying (and failing) to work out which way to go after we'd left the usual route.

Had today off work so technically my weekend has started! Haven't been on the bike for over week so went out with mince pie legs.
Living in London you really miss those hills, fucking hills, but was awesome to have run out in the Sussex lanes - love this county!
Perfect day for it, around 10 degrees, minimal traffic - 8/10
Fitness - 2/10 must try harder for 2015.

Real struggle. Went from Barnet to Tring to try out the Cog Cafe. Should have checked the opening times first. 100km. Closing in on my 6000miles for the year.
