  • Ooh!

  • There's a draught version of that Marble Imperial Russian Stout.

Also Xmas Eve is when they dish out the free Port Stout too. Yes you heard right FREE draught ale and a very nice one too.

  • Had a couple of these last night.....hmmmm.

  • Sunday at Brewdog:

    All Day Long - BrewDog
    Alt Amber - BrewDog
Weihenstephaner Original Helles - Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan
Hacienda Black Saison - Weird Beard Brew Co.
    Classic Gueuze - Brasserie Cantillon
    Santa's Little Helper (2014) - Mikkeller
    Spontancassis - Mikkeller
Stone Imperial Russian Stout (2014) - Stone Brewing Co.
    It's Alive! - Mikkeller
Kriek 100% Lambic - Brasserie Cantillon
Big Worster (Chardonnay Barrel Aged) - Mikkeller
    India Pale Weizen - BrewDog

Best: Santas Little Helper, Hacienda and Stone's Stout
Worst: Spontancassis (better than Spontanrosehip but not for me)

  • Yeah, tried the draught a couple of Mondays back after it was recommended on this thread.

Is that freebie all day & all venues? I might have to nip into bo-cho for something unnecessary tomorrow before the family arrives...

  • ^

  • Do not understand.

  • Haha nice one

  • Wolf Rock - Sharp's Brewery
St. Paul Triple - Brouwerij Sterkens
Enghien Noël - Brasserie de Silly
Sapient Trip Ale - Dark Horse Brewing Co.
Christmas Flying Herbert - North Yorkshire Brewing Company
Help For Heroes - Marston's Beer Co
    Dublin Porter - Guinness

Best: Enghien Noël - Brasserie de Silly

The Dublin Porter wasn't porter enough for me. The Sapient was dirty as, since I couldn't store it upright. Nevermind. The triple was pretty nice too.

  • The Guinness India Porter wasn't very porter-y either. You could have told me it was a black lager and I'd have believed you.

  • you quaffers in the know will scoff at this old yokel, but was given a pack of anchor steam beer for xmas - verty drinkabkle it si too

  • S'alright, one of the first times I realised all American beer didn't taste like drinking fizzy water shortly after drinking carling.

  • Have a look for their Liberty Ale. My favourite of theirs.

  • I tried the Hacienda Black Saison the other day, v.nice.

Other Xmas highlights have all been in the 9%+ ballpark including Rye Smile, Emellise Espresso Stout and Flying Dog Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout.

The Marble is being saved but it's hard work leaving it.

  • Mikkeller Arh Had and Corsendonk Rousse were best two tonight.
Also tried other Guinness West Indies porter. Better than the other one IMHO.

  • Been drinking unpasteurised, unfiltered dark beers in Prague. Delicious stuff but Jesus Christ does it give you wind.

You can still drink here for about £1 a pint away from the tourist areas, which is where you find the better pubs anyway.

  • Half a dozen to see out the year, some faves some new to try:

  • ^ They had no Modus Hoperandi tho :(

  • I've got some fizzy piss, Leffe, Cocoa Psycho, Rip Tide, Hardcore IPA and a whole selection of Brasserie du Bocq bottles.

But all that's going in the bin so I can drink warm cans of Fosters. Go Brit or go home! :P

  • Hope you enjoyed the Fosters

Some nice bottles were brought along, the Marble 125 was lovely, as is this years Brooklyn Chocolate Stout, the Siren Pumpkin good too.
