    On the other hand, I thought the reason Motorola offer an easy to to unlock bootloader is so they can collate the IMEIs of those phones that are rooted/unlocked?

    sorry buddy i thought you were on a nexus device. I'm not familiar with Moto. Probably similar process.

    concept is that after going back to stock everything you connect your device to your computer while in bootloader mode and then launch CWM recovery from your computer with the command "fastboot boot recoveryfilename.img" Your phone will then boot to the third party recovery (without replacing your stock recovery), and then you flash the reset script. The script locks the bootloader and also resets the tamper flag.

    takes less than 20 seconds.
