Mmm, I'm using a right angle jack too (albeit a fairly long one - Shure SE215) and its getting quite sketchy.
Probably going to have to pay for a repair myself, the cost of unlocking the bootloader!

There's a very easy way to reset the tamper flag. Takes 45 seconds literally. Do you use fast boot and adb?

Aye, it's how I rooted it in the first place. If you know a good tutorial then I'd be up for that.

On the other hand, I thought the reason Motorola offer an easy to to unlock bootloader is so they can collate the IMEIs of those phones that are rooted/unlocked?
