Clearance look tight, suspension corrected?
-
• #98528
suspension corrected with 80mm of clearance between tyre and crown on a 2.3 - worried it might feel too tall but we'll see

Can I lose a whole link from here?

Adding or subtracting a link moves the wheel about 1/2 an inch so I'd say you'd be ok.

It's extremely easy to test, but hard to describe without a photo.
Loosen wheel bolt. Tuck in wheel. Shift the chain two teeth on the chain ring so that it makes a small loop on the forward side. If everything still turns you're good.

Good thinking, I did the same thing as well.

fork looks brilliant on the bike, can't wait to ride but the king headset doesn't sit right on the crown- recommendation on fat bottom race headset? not a fan of the hope logos but they seem the obvious choice
-

Someone did find a solution by getting a very fat headset, not much help I'm afraid but there is a solution.

I've suddenly realised my Graham Weigh bike is going to look very ordinary and plain with the dark grey bar tape I bought for it.
What's the forum favourite bright yellow bar tape? Preferably with some kind of soft/sticky/cork finish rather than the nasty slippery leather/plastic stuff.

Went with an ahead setup on my track bike. Quill stem looked a little out of place next to those fat aluminium tubes. Fair amount stiffer
cockpitehfront endstem and handlebars now too. -

Thinking about replacing my frame with an older steel model, i'm looking specifically at the Pinarello Montello SLX (when I find one in the correct size, condition and in red)
This may be sacrilege, but I have a modern Campag Veloce gruppo that I'd like to use (taken from my current road bike) which i'd upgrade piece by piece in time.
How compatible are older italian frames with modern BBs and groupsets?

Hah!
I'll take some proper photographs if weather allows.

Sorry for spam, but stuck the mudguards and proper tyres on and its a beast! Needs platforms and straps though. Tried it out loaded up at the back the other day, and if anything it improves the ride. Really pleased with it. -

nice - mudguards look epic on wishbone stays - is it a clockwork?

sick.
burly titanium rigid forks for the singlespeed, ones I have tried in the past have been a touch flexy but these are much chunkier yet still lightweight. Now to find hacksaw blades man enough for the job of cutting them down!
