Cool...we'll see you there! Anyone else joining us I wonder?!

the biggest incident we’ve had since we opened was a patron who had a little too much to drink, and demanded a refund on his lap dance when he realized Wendy Wheatgrass wasn’t wearing a fair-trade garter
Is this real or just something they stole from the Daily Mash?

We're here in the bar at Karamel.....

Well, that was rather awesome. It turned out that there was a music night on which was run by Karousel Music. We really liked two of the performers. Karamel is such a lovely venue, I'll be back for London Vegan Drinks this coming Saturday.

A reminder that it's London Vegan Drinks tonight, at Karamel in Wood Green:
http://fatgayvegan.com/london-vegan-drinks/
I'll aim to get there at 6. Steves and Catydid are also going.
You may have noticed that I like the venue. I think it's great and LVD works so much better there than it did in the Central London location. (I should write 'locations' here, but I only ever went to one of them, before it started to move around.)
Hope to see you there!

Sorry we couldn't make it...hope it was a good night. Awesome place!

You were missed! It was a good night, although not as good as World Vegan Day, but I suppose you can't expect that every time. Lots of food left over was sold cheaply and I stuffed my face the whole of Sunday. :)

Hi so I've been off the forum for yonks, since about when I moved out of London really. Sad times. Anyway now working a soul-crushing job that affords me time to go visiting. So....Is anyone going to the Vx anniversary bash this month?

Becky! Welcome back.
I hadn't heard about it--I take it you mean this?
http://www.vegancross.com/Articles.asp?ID=266
I must admit that I don't know if I qualify, as I've never been to Vx. Maybe this is the time to go. I could just imagine it to be faintly embarrassing if I was asked about what I thought of Vx: 'Oh, I've never even been, but if there's a party going, I'm in.' :)
Are you in Cambridge, then?

By the way, it's London Vegan Drinks tomorrow. A very good night and highly recommended. The current venue is great:

I'm going.

Thanks for the warm welcome back! I am indeed still out of town, unfortunately. The problems of an arts graduate I believe, being unable to get a reasonably paying job.
The shop itself does great takeaway food, I'm particularly fond of their cheese and ham toastie, and the staff are always super friendly. I try and go whenever I'm visiting London seeing as it puts me near kings cross. I was hoping to catch some forumers there if possible but otherwise I'll stuff my face and report back! I caught the vegan drinks post a tad late annoyingly but I'll try and be down for the next one!
Looks lovely. :)
