I'm not impressed with the non merino versions of the defeet. Haven't got the merino ones to compare with. Perhaps I'm just a bit soft.
The merino ones are significantly warmer than the non-merino ones in my experience. You can wear the former when it's 5 or 6 degrees colder and still have warm hands.
non-merino version is fine for 10 degrees and above, merino version is too warm above that.
