I just pulled the trigger on a pair, I'm back to work on Friday so I'll test them out then.

Headed out on Saturday with the defeet wool duragloves. Very impressed. Mostly toasty down to minus 1. Better than my specialized lobsters.
That is impressive. My best current combo is good to about 1° then I have to work pretty hard to keep comfortable.

I just pulled the trigger.
Hmmm, me too. Two pairs as postage is a fiver.

So annoyed I lost one, I have far too many single gloves in my house, all the same bloody hand too.

I found the silk liners at the Decathlon store at Surrey Quays,
varied noticeably between different pairs of notionally the same size.
Bought the longest XXLs on the shelf/display unit. -

Somewhere I have a pair of Helly Hansen over mittens,
but these were bought back in the early '90s,
so I have no idea if they have a current model. -

How's the sizing of the merino Duragloves? I'm thinking I should try getting some while they're still in stock and according to size guide, I'm just between small and medium

Picked these up for £10 from Halfords 2 years ago.. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage-equipment/overalls-safety-equipment/portwest-high-performance-gloves-large - they are still holding up and I use them when working on my car and stuff too.

Sealskinz winter cycling gloves. Going into their third year. Warm and (unlike some of Sealskinz stuff) genuinely waterproof. Out for over 2 hours this morning - fingers completely toasty. Feet were another story.

sealskins all weather gloves - I have found them terrible below about 3 degrees, even with a liner underneath.
-
• #1540
current glove setup was a bit nippy today

Never had a good experience with SealSkins stuff. Gloves all have those shitty floating liners in them and don't even keep you warm.
Waterproof socks everyone raves about are like wearing a plastic bag inbetween 2 layes of shit fabric - what is wrong with overshoes anyway? -

I've ordered some of these wool dura gloves everyone seems to be banging on about. If they aren't made of magic, you guys owe me.
-

Had mine a year or so (regular not merino though). They're good gloves, and I haven't yet felt the need to put on anything warmer, but they're just wooly gloves. Like schoolchildren used to wear, but with a little extra grip.

I reckon these would be ace as cycling gloves at £25 not £50 though!

Gloves all have those shitty floating liners.
Ah, those time where we have to spend 10 minutes westling our thumb into the correct hole.
-
• #1546
Did you order a medium/large? if so, give them to me if the magic don't work on you.

I think your mum's very accommodating. She never charges extra for the V8.
-
• #1548
hahahaha you fool. They're shit. We've mugged you off.
Back of the net lads, well done everyone.

• #1549
Got medium. Not etouch though. And pink.

Not again!
That would be my guess, or perhaps it just colder.
