At an office where I can ride a posh biek and not get sweaty about locking up and stuff. Feels like a luxury though about 1/2 my clients have secure/indoor spot for my sweet whips.
Today was mostly about sun in eyes (mostly for people heading at me, which was mighty alarming just how little people can see when sun is this low at 9).
I managed to turn around the atmosphere with a repeat spot I've been having with an old gent on Bow St every morning about 9.20 or so. It's a really long story (yawn) but basically my initial contact with him was asking him not to direct traffic into my right-of-way. Today I bid him a good day.
All's ok with the world on Planet Skully.

PS, if you're hating your commutes that much, hippy and other commuter-mojo-losers, I suggest ditching the job not the commuting, if at all possible. Freelancing is really good for enjoying your commutes, cos you get variation. And days where you can stay home. #freelancelife

I'm not hating on my commute (much) I'm just enjoying not doing it today. My job allows me to work from home. My punishment is I have to give blood this afternoon..

Got the bus. Took about an hour to go from Streatham Hill to the north side of Brixton due to roadfuckworks. Phone died mid-route.

Actually I had to bomb from KX to Tooting last night. Did it in about 40 mins using all my knowledge of London's back streets and quiet roads. Felt like the courier king so that one gets me

Stupid driver wanting to kill me by turning left without checking. Made good use of my hydraulic brake.
On the upside: spotted a new kind of nodder on the way in. the standing nodder. Obligatory full hi-viz, pannier bag, never sits down, coasts standing on one leg. does 3-4 cycles, stands again.

Weirdly he was in his mid 40s-50s by the look of it, and of course riding on a shitty hybrid.
Didn't strike me as the bmxing type. -

They are interval training. Quickly raising the heart rate then recovering.
One day they will come smashing past you whilst whistling dambusters.

Cold as all hell.
Tmw will be colder and windier.
6/10 on the way in thanks to traffic.
10/10 on the way back because it was not quite dark yet.
Have broken my Lezyne light. Stupid thing. -

Time to get those snow tyres... it's coming any day...
-
• #3997
Nah, just drop your normal tyres down by 10-20psi. Should be fine.
-
• #3998
^ That's fine for snow, but not good for ice (or compacted snow).
My Marathon Winter tyres are great for icy roads.

I'm getting some Nokon A10s from Germany. I've wanted some for ages.

^ Merely ordering them should stave off the ice/snow for a few more months.
I am ill; I spread the germs on the tube today ..
