I watched The Wind Rises in May 2014 in the cinema, so 2014.
Fantastic film, it was lovely that it retain some of the Ghibli's charm (unlike Grave of the Fireflies which I very much like to erase from memory).
I thought Grave of the Fireflies was quite good, as in realistically grim.
But it's not as uplifting as most of his other work for sure...like watching Threads you just feel a bit...down/unpleasant/nullified after.
Oh it's a great film no doubt about that, just that I watched it when I was a teenage and got knocked down a pegs or two.
