  • Looking good.....

  • New Enigma

  • Love the new straight blade forks enigma are buying in.

  • yum

  • ^ Too much bolide for my taste ie should have gone carbon. Ti is all about curved seatstays etc

  • This was my first Merlin extralight, a 1997 model. It was a bit too small so I got a larger one but my first setup was the best.

  • Genesis Volare 20 Stainless Steel Reynolds 931 tubing and Ultegra 6800

  • Pretty much finished my Ti project... Here it is in winter mode...

  • I'm loving the look of this !
    Pdw & 24 pave ?

  • How do you find those 3T wheels? @mattyc

  • @MRI Cheers, I'm really happy with it... PDW and 25mm Pave on 23mm wide rims... it is tight! there is a little bit of rubbing on the rear but I hope to sort that, they'll be fine for wet roads but no towpaths/lanes for me!

Anyone want to swap some 25mm Pave for some 24mm?

@Mechamorgan I'm really liking the wheels, first time I've tried wider rims and the feel excellent with the Paves... they may be a little heavy to get going but they are for winter commutes and general use so I'm not fussed - I needed them in a hurry and for £200 I'm chuffed!

  • The rear rubbing could likely be due to the bracket on the brake bridge, it's best to replace that system completely and make your own by drilling a hole underneath and use one of those;

Also check the nuts underneath, make sure it flat enough to not get in the way, for the bridge, I'd put the allen in from the inside rather than on the outside as this give much more clearance.

  • @edscoble Cheers for that, I've hacked ^that braket off an old chromoplastic and will attempt the mod as you've suggested this weekend, should look a bit tidier than the standard bracket and lighter too... I'll post pics in the mudguard thread if I sort it!

  • Lastly, I can't quite see it from the photo, but a decent sturdy quick release (if you don't have one that is) can make a big difference in reducing the wheel flexing.

  • This is happening in Russia right now. New frame for me for Tour Divide.

  • Was that build under a nuclear fallout shelter?

  • No, just a workshop in Moscow.

  • First pics of the frame through from Triton:

Lots of clearance, up to a 2.6" tyre in the rear, also helps with the horrendous mud in New Mexico.
