Thanks all for your interest in my business, it's been a wild ride over the last 3 months since I slammed on the brakes as I wasn't happy with the whole service. It's taken some time to get to a new workshop, new equipment and even a new team but I'm really happy with how things are going. Doing everything by hand with a keen eye and the technical know-how has always been the key to custom paint and it still is.
Our turnaround time used to be roughly 10 weeks but it's now 4 weeks. We're also mixing fully custom colours, working with local bike shops and generally pushing and testing our paint-work from metal-flakes to fade paint.
We've recently done some testing on a new ceramic lacquer which is a unique mix to us (the tin even says No Quarter - ha!) which we'll be offering on any frame. We're still not quite sure on pricing but this lacquer will be roughly £60 extra.
I did want to keep this one under wraps until Wayne has built it but I couldn't pass the opportunity to get some snaps of it before it goes home.
Really pleased with this job, the finish is super and we've used a few of our spraying techniques making this a really durable finish by making the paint thinner (not just a case of spraying less). Thin paint = strong.
We've also used a new lacquer which we're really happy with. Most lacquers make matte black go slightly grey which isn't what we were looking for. This is a very deep matte black!
All masking done by hand.

Looks good although the painted section around the BB looks weird. Why did you go for that shape with the masking?

That ceramic lacquer is what BMW use and is very hard to polish so make sure you get it right the first time James

@Señor_Bear masking exactly the same as the original paint mask just different colour now.
@INTHEKNOW we've had quite a few of the race cars finished with it and it's been fine, thanks for the heads up.

Something new from the paint shop. Columbus Tusk forks in a custom 'No Quarter' colour.

Hi,
nope some of the filler which has came off. We're having a clear-out of frames at the moment as we've got some really nice stuff planned for 2015!

When you get a chance could you take more photos of the filler that has come off?
Also do you happen to have photos with wheels on it? -
• #194
When you say filler that has came off do you actually mean the part that is no longer on the bike? I'm afraid it was like that when it came in.
I don't think those frames are going to be back near our workshop anytime soon but I'll see if I can get some pictures. If I remember right it's a pretty tight frame!

Dolan frame in for some TLC.
We've done quite a few frames like this before but we've never documented it. This frame has used and sadly the paint has suffered.
The owner doesn't want a respray as he likes the frame as it is. We're going to be sanding back each dint, chip, scratch and mark until we're happy the frame is flat and ready for paint. We have a colour match but after a few years even the same colour mixed won't be an exact match so we do this by hand.

We received this frame this morning which is in for some custom paint.
This is a anniversary present for the wife of our client who wanted to give her something really personal. We're going to be painting this frame white and stencilling her name and how many seconds (!) they've been married. It's a tight deadline for this frame but we're confident we can have this frame delivered on time.
We all love before, during and after pictures so here's some before..

Happy New Year to you all!
We've got some really exciting things planned this year..
Due to one of my recent threads about early 2000s bikes I wanted to show you guys this Giant TCR which I thought was really nice, super aero tubing and great quality welds. It's in for some TLC in the form of powder-coat as it's had a hard life.
It's going RAL9010 (white) which will look fantastic against the black carbon forks and black components.
