  • Thanks Greenbank, this makes sense, never really given any thought to pronation before. Seems like the Adrenaline is marketed as a 'support' shoe to correct mild/moderate overpronation, so presumably I should switch to a 'neutral' shoe that's not meant for over pronators.

I bought the Brooks Adrenalines because at the time they were the only shoes I could find in a 2E width. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should look for neutral shoes in a 2E width? Or anything that comes with a very wide forefoot? Brooks have something called the glycerin but it doesn't seem to get great reviews.

  • Go to a good running shop (one with a treadmill where they can video you running) and seek their advice. Forget brands, forget colours/styles.

Remember the advice, then buy subsequent shoes from the same shop (or more cheaply on the Internet). (EDIT: to be clear I mean buy at least one pair of shoes, ideally all, from that shop. Don't just go to the shop and get advice and buy nothing from them.)
