Breaking the Waves
Overall a pretty upsetting film! A tough watch (like some of his others I guess) but this one really rang true – it's not a far-fetched story at all. Spellbinding acting. Glorious ending.
I've seen Emily Watson on stage and she's fucking rad. ^this role was close-quarters subtle film acting and she's remarkable. No problem with the format. She got oscar nominations for her 1st two films followed by a string of shit roles. She was a love interest in an Adam Sandler film (apparently) and the cardboard mum in Warhorse :-/

Watch it all. Breaking the Waves is terrific. I think Dogville is great as well, but I think its a film that really stands out if you've seen his other stuff first.
