  • Would be worthwhile to measure your shoulder width and use that figure too, as apparently your bars are meant to be the same size. Of course, there's an element of personal preference, hence me going super narrow. I don't think you'll be able to feel the difference between sizes in a shop though, especially somewhere like DH, where they won't have a full size range in the same shape - the difference between some traditional road drops and some modern ergo bars is going to be huge, regardless of size. If it's causing you real pain, you're better off doing in properly - getting measured up and trusting the science, rather than just going by what you can find in a shop. Just my 2p. #internetbikefit.

  • I've been tempted on a couple of occasions to bite the bullet and pay for a full on bike fit - I figure it'll pay for itself in the parts that I buy and end up getting rid of because they're no good for me!
