I highly rate Possession, it's a bit more towards the surreal end.
Dead Ringers (Cronenberg), Altered States, Jacob's Ladder, Byzantium, are all movies that incorporate horror/the weird with psychological thriller aspects.
(Jacob's ladder has been ripped off mightily by later USA films)
