@tina.kino thanks very much, high praise indeed! That patchy road was actually the first bit of DDR road we got to, says a lot about the history of the place I think.

  • You had to make her bum bigger? Lol.

  • Yep! All true... It was already professionally retouched and I am pretty sure she was slimmed out a fair bit but in the final ad she decided having a bigger bum would be "cool".

  • I am now a proud owner of a brand new lumix lx100. Half decent review to follow.

  • Spotter, that set is great. The light looks pretty surreal too.

  • Thanks, I've really had a downer on my photography recently. Looking through lightroom every image looked awful, only last night did I start to feel a bit more positive about them. Hence why i'm only uploading these now, hopefully my optimism will continue as i've got a few months of images back up.

  • Some arresting shots there Spotter.
Here's a wall. And a door. And some grass. And a window. And paving stones.

  • Captured with temerity.

  • ^^ nice mix of stonework there...

Here's a touristy photo from today. Went to see the exhibition on conflict photography, which I'd recommend. Don't want to say "it was great!" because its about such morbid, psychotic shit but it was done well...

  • That's the turnine hall of the tate, right?

  • Yup. So. Many. People. With. Cameras.

  • It's funny because I just stumbled over this picture of the turbine hall again (not my photo) -

  • That exhibit was so trippy. They should have left it there, along with the slides.

  • @tina.kino thanks very much, high praise indeed! That patchy road was actually the first bit of DDR road we got to, says a lot about the history of the place I think.

I'd guess it says more about Germany's disappearing highway maintenance funding.

Many such roads didn't even have tarmac during DDR times, so it might well have been resurfaced after the annexation.

  • Def. I walked in randomly to that, won't forget it in a while, one of the strongest experiences I've had

  • @WillMelling I can't see the dolphin?

  • it's a sail boat

  • it's a sail boat

    I see Bill Murray

  • Its a schooner!

  • i found wally!

  • Any d800's going?

  • There's one on eBay for under £900 with 2 hours left... Have you considered an a7r? Same sensor but will take pretty much any lens.

  • Mate bought an a7s the other day which is pretty nuts actually, didn't even know about the a7r really. I'll have a read
