@hippy Just saw this, got extensive proximal DVT in my leg after breaking my heel last year - right up from my ankle to my groin (was misdiagnosed three times in two months). Was pretty grim for the first few months, but back cycling as usual now without any noticeable effects.
Ask your doctors about Rivraoxaban - it's a relatively new treatment I got from haematology at King's. Doesn't need you to manage your levels or watch what you eat, although it's less easy to reverse in case of an accident.
Thanks for the tip, I'll ask about it. Next week I'll get onto a GP who should refer me to blood people. It feels a bit better this morning. Not sure if it's because of all the Canopy beer or the passing out on the sofa after a few more bevvies.
