Hybrio

I have no experience of the eneloop batteries but would expect them to be similar to the hybrio.

Not looking back since I bought an Exposure front light. By far the best light ever.

andy_k did you manage to mount the Moon Comet to the rack? I'm also looking for a USB rack light. If you were successful a picture would be appreciated. Cheers.

Yes... following the suggestion by @mdcc_tester and a bunch of zip ties...
Not as slick as Moon's soon to be released offering, but considerably cheaper!

Not exactly what I had in mind, but if it works it works :-)

Fuck £10 for that. I bought spare saddle rail mounts for ~£3.50 a piece, the carrier adapter should be £1.99 unless they supply Ti bolts with it.

@mdcc_tester you think that's bad?

Considering getting a Moon Meteor, can any users on here comment on its suitability for unlit road riding pls?

Lezyne Micro read, when charging just shows solid green, and now won't switch on. Have tried the oyster card reset, any other suggestions?

They're decent for unlit road riding, just remember to charge them regularly.

I recently picked up a light and motion 800 combo. I'm pretty impressed with both front and rear lights, I think they're quite expensive, but I like that they charge using micro USB chargers, same as my phone. They're waterproof, the beam pattern is good, and the battery life is decent. I just hope they last, I was similarly impressed with my Lezyne macro drive rear when I first got it but now the battery barely lasts 1 hour.
Neatest feature is the amber side LEDs on both front and rear light. They definitely enhance side on visibility.

Considering getting the Leyzne KTV light set. It has a built in usb to charge and connect directly into a laptop. Does anyone know if you can still charge it with a micro USB cable (as I won't always have a laptop with me)?
Pic of it can be found below

I presume you could just use one of these and an appropriate mains to USB plug.

Depending on the lights plug you may need a different size of female end.

My moon comet just died after less than 6 weeks. A shame as it's a neat and bright little light.
-

I've not tried but you probably don't need a cable, it should fit into the usb to mains plug directly?

That's out of character for Moon, and unacceptable for any consumer durable.
Included in the sale of goods legislation is a section on burden of proof3...
• Where faulty goods are returned within the first six months of purchase, the consumer
has the benefit of a presumption that the goods were faulty when delivered.
3Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002TL;DR - take it back to where you bought it, they must refund, repair or replace.
Boring question time! Can anyone reccomend some good rechargeable aaa batteries? Brightness is more important than long lasting if that makes any difference.
