There is no way the Gillott would ever look that good with just a lacquer, so i have gone the whole hog and resprayed the frame and its finally back from the paint shop.
I was hoping for a 1950's colour scheme..!
The drilled brake bridge is definetly an after market job.

The frame may be all shiny, but the components will be just cleaned up and replaced. I specified a satin finish to the lacquer, not sure if that has made much of a difference to the shiny-ness.
