Paying extra for ceramics, when you won't be using a brake? Why not CD coated?

Well I paid almost nothing for the ceramic version anyway. I will be running a front brake eventually and (around Tokyo obligatory), so the ceramic versions make sense to me - brakes won't leave a trace on the rim whereas the standard CD version the wear will show.
