So does this mean we're going to have to win the Champions League?

Gutless on the pitch. Gutless from the manager also. WTF take off Joe Allen? What did St. Stevie do to stay on?
Looks like Rafa could be back...

A terrible display from United, but 3 points. Can't ask for more than that away from home. :)>
Terrible?! Are you sure? That is exactly the kind of performance that worries me from an LFC perspective. It tells me that your game management is top drawer. Weather the storm and hit when you need to. It's got fuck to do with winning the passing. The fact that your defenders watch all the pretty dead end passes and leave unscathed...Those 3 points will galvanise your depleted squad no end.
Can we just take the trophy to the Kings Roads now, please?

Has he gone yet?
We are in a relegation scrap now. Make no mistake about it. The board need to act and they need to act now -

Nothing cheers me up more than a miserable Kopite...

The Arse should have been out of sight by half time, their profligacy in front of goal not withstanding we would have been dead and buried, we hit well on the counter, but we were far from solid anywhere on the pitch.
But yeah a great result for a beleaguered squad.

Relegation battle. LOL.

I hope Rogers sticks around for a long time.

I thought Utd had the luckiest result of the weekend. but then spurs happened.

• #112588
Can we just have this confirmed. It's November. Is next season Liverpool's or the one after or perhaps a few after that?
-
• #112589
Our next home game is against Spurs. If both sides play as they did this weekend it should be an interesting game.

I hope Rogers sticks around for a long time.>
Don't hold your breath: Usually even after loses he'd still look for positives. Today he looked really down and out of ideas. I don't recall him barking orders out or forcibly orchestrating things from the side lines.
Last year he was all about "death by football" [slight cringe], "total expression and confidence in self" and "aggressive pressing everywhere on the pitch".
That has all gone now.
We all knew LS was looking to get off. We all knew DS has a dodgy injury record. I'm not sure he planned adequately for the current predictable/inevitable situation he finds himself in.
I'm not sure what the plan is or what he's trying to do on the pitch. It all feels a little rudderless.
Plus his overall record in the transfer market has been horrendous- though the players are better than they're showing.

Rodgers needs time. Time to allow his new acquisitions to bed in; time to instill his methodas into the older players. He needs time to find a replacement for Gerrard, time to find a replacement for Carragher, time to find a replacement for Suarez.
He took Liverpool to their highest league position for a decade, won them qualification to the Champions League and found them really great shirt sponsorship. These achievements should not be forgotten simply because Liverpool are going through a blip.
Anyway, Liverpool are playing exciting and entertaining football. They scored first yesterday and had the lion's share of possession, facts overlooked by pundits who dwelt on the final score which is hardly a true matrix by which football should be judged.

still only 5pts from a champions league position

• #112597
liverpool to replace bad manager with even worse one
klopp being lined up from the bottom of the german 1st division
worse win ratio worse goals against

Despite being at the bottom of the league, he won't leave - certainly not in Liverpool's direction anyway.

still only 5pts from a champions league position
And four from relegation.
How many points off top slot though? Let's work this out. First placed side have 32 points after 12 games and Liverpool, in twelfth place, have 14.
32 minus 14 is 18 isn't it?
My goodness me, that's more points than Liverpool have won in 12 matches.
But Liverpool are such as free scoring side which is good. They have a goal difference of -3 and have scored a commendable 15 goals in 12 matches which is more than one a match and a good 50% of what the league leaders have scored.
Chelsea are letting goals in one after the other. 11 so far this season which is two more than in the whole 2004/5 season.
This must surely be Liverpool's year. They won the possession again yesterday.
