  • Prolapse the pouch?

  • It sure does.

  • eBay caps and umbrella arrived. Bring on the rain

  • So the rapha cross shoe is just a rebranded/fancy stitched Giro Code shoe right? Excellent shoe, not sure what cyan and magenta stitching adds. At least the RRP is the same as the original.

  • plus frites box

  • I have recently received my order from Rapha with 3 different XL ladies jerseys/tops and am trying to work out what on earth is going on with the sizing. From the website, the chest measurement of ladies XL is 102cm. The actual garments I have received have chest measurements as follows:

Women's Merino Breton - 108cm. This fits fine.

Women's Long Sleeve Merino - 106cm - this is enormous! I plan to exchange for a L as the XL is baggy and ill fitting. Proably a function of the thinner stretchier fabric.

Women's Long Sleeve Souplesse Jersey - 94cm??? This is more on par with the M and L sizes of 92/97cm.

I have had wrongly labelled Rapha clothing before (a pair of s38 shorts that were clearly a s34), I understand there is 'fit' and 'size' but I don't see how 'fit' can account for such a smaller sizing. Will be returning for exchange on the assumption that it is wrongly labelled.

And now I see the website is saying they aren't able to offer an exchange on these items.

  • And now I see the website is saying they aren't able to offer an exchange on these items.

    Really? website said you can.

  • yes, when selecting the items in my order, then choosing 'Return this item', then select 'exchange for a different size/colour/style', I am then told "We are unable to offer an exchange on this item. Please contact customer services."

  • It's possibly because they're out of stock.

  • Don't sweat it. Raphas customer service is top notch. They'll take care of u.

Going forward, what I have always done in the past when I'm unsure of sizing, is order two different sizes of whatever I'm buying, and just return the one that doesn't fit.

They send a courier out to u to pick up the goods u don't want, and it's absolutely free.

During the clearance I think I must have purchased like $2000, and refunded $1300 of it.

Also, I think the suplesse stuff is similar to a pro team fit.

  • The Customer Service team are lovely :)
I often order different sizes, but Rapha don't do XXL ... 's for skinny folk innit.

  • My gf has the same problem with fitment, she just sticks with the Classic items...

  • I still don't understand how, when they state that a garment will fit chest size 102cm, the actual garment measures up at 94cm across the chest. It's not as if it's spandex and supposed to fit/look like an 80's catsuit.

  • ^ Just came here to post that :-)

  • There'll be prizes for anyone seen eating chips and drinking beer from their Cross Shoe box this season.

  • They'd need to be good prizes to justify the cost of the cross shoes. They are nice, but very pricey, for what boils down to a pair of Giro Codes.

  • FWIW Codes are great shoes, but I'd find it difficult paying £230 for them - that money would get you a very nice pair of Dragon SRS.

  • Do we rate the transfer gilet?

  • What would you pay for Giro Codes?

  • @laner had one, and use it on his tour.

  • Nope, i was using the transfer jacket (with normal gillet over the top when it was cold enough)

  • I like mine. It's definitely posing gear (sorry, warm up/down wear) rather than riding kit.
