  • The presence of a #hashtag in the terms could automatically trigger the unticked behaviour.

  • I am an idiot and posted this in the wrong forum. Can it be moved to Misc classifieds or more appropriate forum (Track?)

  • He's back - http://www.lfgss.com/comments/11952094/

Unless there's someone new who just happens to also be called Tommy, is always wrong about everything, and has an unhealthy obsession about fare evasion.

  • @Velocio @Clockwise, Isn't there a tradition of people being on the forum as vendors only? I thought they weren't really encouraged but, as long as they stuck to the classifieds and were fair and especially if they made a donation they were tolerated.

In fact there are some folks on here, like @varno for example, who for sure are mainly here as vendors, but are good for the forum as a whole. In fact, he seems super positive to me even though I don't want wheels.

@Clockwise, this sort of thing https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/258303/, especially when it is a reply to a wanted request, just sounds mean spirited.

  • I keep having to sign in using some numbers. It's every time (despite being logged in) and a bit annoying.

Is this going to be a permanent feature?

  • Further to that, I can't follow links either without having to complete 'One More Step.'

  • I have no issue with @craving4sport selling items in response to wanted requests.

If he starts spamming us with unwanted adverts, then I and others would start to have an issue.

If I receive any reports that any of the sales have gone bad, then as he's not in London I would likely just cut our losses and ban his account and nuke all adverts.

But... whilst he is helping to fulfil wanted requests, and being a good seller, he's fine.

  • lolz at him trying to cover his tracks by deleting his fare evasion expertise post and changing his name, again

  • Is he currently banned? I can't recall. He's a bit of a plonker online, with some very peculiar ideas on how the world works... but that isn't enough to warrant a ban, just being disruptive to the point of being a nuisance. If he's figured out how not to be that, then he's fine.

  • I have banned Tommy.

  • I can't recall.

Of course you would say that. You'd hardly want to publicly admit to your campaign of censorship and your curtailing of freedom of speech at grotesque levels when you can pretend to be a reasonable man with a slightly poor memory instead. We see through your lies and conspiracies, Mr Illuminati.

  • Heh.

Some people do think I bear grudges, but that requires a working memory and the capacity to hold the grudge. I don't have either.

  • I know the whole "OMG the forum is so prejudiced against me and my middle class white male brethren" thing happened at the exact time as the switchover to microcosm but it still happened, so as far as I'm aware he should still be banned.

  • Oh yes, I do remember that now. And you're right, he was properly banned along with Jeez (separate incident).

I'll add his new account to it then.

  • Done.

And whilst we're on the subject of Tommy, that new Swedish film is shit: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3411420/ . There's no real tension, and the plot is far too simplistic... no depth. Avoid it.

  • bear grudges

Is he the one that's famous for drinking his own pee?

  • Are you talking about the film or Tommy?

  • If there are youtube links with time offsets, the embedded video strips them off. See this post: http://www.lfgss.com/comments/11954207/

It should start playing like ten minutes in.

  • There is an issue with the ignore feature as it changes the numbering of posts on a thread. So the above link does not work as it directs to a post with too high a number so comes up with an error message.

  • I worked that out. Clearly a misogynist troll and that should not be on the ladies forum.

  • Black Logo?

Cyclist killed by 'racing motorist' in east London hit-and-run

  • I hope that this isn't going to slide. @Yukirin isn't the only person to have mentioned it, though he does seem to be the only person to have said anything here. Anyway, it's this comment: http://www.lfgss.com/comments/11957591/

It doesn't really do much for encouraging positivity about cycling amongst women, and it definitely doesn't do much for encouraging women to want to participate in this fucking forum.

Generally speaking the place is pretty good and people will call out this kind of disrespectful arseholery when they see it (barring the odd hiccup from people who ought to know better), but it'd be nice if this instance could be strongly discouraged so as not to create an atmosphere where this kind of behaviour is popularly seen as ok. It's not really ok to objectify women anywhere on the forum, but it is especially not ok to objectify women in the women's specific part of the site.

Anyway, isn't he an alias of that other guy who had two or three aliases that got banned recently?
