We've had a fox living in our grounds for at least six months now, it recently (last couple of days) appeared after a couple of days absence with what looks to be a broken (or otherwise badly damaged) front leg.
I called the RSPCA but they said that unless I could catch Mr Fox they would not attend, as there was no way of knowing if they would turn up to no point, which I can see is reasonable - but still leaves a distressed animal running (or, rather, hopping) around.
