News on the Rob Telfer: have received the frame and tried two setups (just loosely put together with tape etc./first one with p'shopped bars)
Actually, the first is what I was planning (tight geo porteur), but the second one starts to feel tempting. I need to stay strong and go on with the porteur.....
I really like this frame, the proportions are f*ckin' amazing

About to buy this:
55€ without tyres or 75€ including tyres. No photos of tyres so not sure if I'll buy.
Not sure what I'd do with this really.I only need brakes and cables. Any recomendation of cheap brakes that will work with wide tyres?
I've been looking at wiggle but all of them are at least 40€. Which is almost the price of the bike. -

How does it ride with track forks?

Looks like you will need a different front and rear brake, seeing as the rear has canti bosses and the front does not...

@Bartroll, I'm currently working on my GT all terra tequesta but will change a few things. so I have original GT stem, original GT handlebars and dia compe XCE brakes and brake levers with all small parts for brakes. And the stem is originally drilled to support the front brake. Let me know if you're interested.

I use the bike for cruisin or as a messengerbike, so 100% downtown riding, feels good with a little bit quicker stearing!
precursa feeling + gears! :)
I understand all this, but when Ed said
"doesn't SMP advise against compression seatpost"
and i said
"as opposed to holding the rails with magnets?"
I was just joking that wichever way you clamp the saddle it's still compression.
you know when you realise you've made a bad joke because you spend so much time explaining it....
