Just what sort of plane did they use to get hippy to the US?
Go hippy!

Don't be silly, they have jet power now
-
• #7829
You're evidently forgetting that the Guppy will have had hippy inside on a turbo connected to the propellers, so jet power is fairly irrelevant.

• #7830
go guppy more like
hows the fella doing ? has he won yet ?

• #7832
pulling out a lead

2nd place bloke's slowest lap time suggests a puncture or other mechanical. With that taken out it looks very close.
Early days, mind.

Looks like our hero is 7 or so miles ahead after 9 hours.

^^ Keep ahead then. Serve and volley.

Lleyton...

14 hours and he's powering ahead
The fastest woman would be 6th overall.
-
• #7840
He was 6 min slower than his average on that last lap.
Bonking?
Big poo?
Mechanical? -
• #7841
He probably stopped for food or a dump.
Or there were a team of midgets competing and he just couldn't help himself...

Any time off the bike is going to add several minutes to a lap, so 6 minutes with a long pit stop isn't a disaster. Meurig is looking sold based on the timings, only 15minutes back now, so it's not over.
-
• #7843
^ Indeed. The next few laps will be telling.
Come on hippy!
-
• #7844
What's the deal with elapsed time? I thought it was a mass start.
-
• #7845
Elapsed time when they last passed the start/finish - so hippy has just pulled the gap back out to 20 minutes between them (I guess other bloke stopped), about 6.5 miles at their average speeds.
-
• #7846
I assume it's the total elapsed time when they passed through the finish line on their last recorded lap.
Beaten to it.
-
• #7847
Ta.
-
• #7848
The lap counter seems to have gone down to 17 laps again. Shurely shome mishtake?
-
• #7849
Back up to 19. Only 11 minutes between hippy and Meurig James.
-
• #7850
Something odd going on. Mine says 19 laps but has suddenly put the gap down to 11 mins and the average speeds up by 1mph.
Hippy's 21mph is much closer to what he rode in the national 24 so I'm thinking it may now be correct, if so the gap is dropping. :(
I think it's going to be too big for me. If it was a large Exocet I would go for it, but the Stealth geo seems a lot longer. Looking at it rationally, I would be a towards the bottom end of medium/top end of small.
