TOP WEIGHTLOSS TIP
Don't wash down your whole grain and nutritionally balanced lunch with a packet and a half of pink pigs.

Last night I felt like a snack. Mistake. Nuked two chocolate self-saucing puds, ate whole black forest cake (well, missus might've had a bit) and then did a block of Cadbury's.
Suffice to say, the weight I lost earlier this year is back. I'm tired of using MFP and then just going over it and thinking 'fuck it'. Can't stand all the low calorie lunch options any more. Meh -

I get halfway to making decent progress (e.g. I lost just over a stone in the last 6 weeks and had a nice balance between restricting myself and allowing myself cake/ale etc without it being a 'treat')
Then I think, well this is going well I can ease off a bit.
And before you know it...

I've decided to adjust the balance of my meals a little: larger breakfast, slightly larger lunch, and small tea. Should hopefully give me more energy through the day and cut out some of the wasted intake in the evening

It's half term so I get a week off the bulk of the exercise regime as I'm on childcare duty for some of it and away the rest of it. Must try not to eat bodyweight in crap food and lager.
7 weeks into the new regime (since MiniGB started school and I have ~6 hours on Friday to myself to get fit)
- 3.5kg lost (down to 87kg)
- Swimming up from nothing to 1.4km/week (in one session)
- Running up from nothing to 2 x 6km runs (28:01 best 5k so far but not racing)
- Cycling up from 80km/week to 120km/week
- Core strength improving (stretching and 100 pushup challenge)
By the Christmas holidays the plan is:
- another 4kg weight loss (down to 83kg)
- Swimming up to 1h duration (and work on increased distance through technique and efficiency improvements)
- Running up to 3 x 9km or 10km runs (sub 1h)
- Cycling - get faster around RP as weight comes off and fitness returns
- Continue core strength gubbins
- 3.5kg lost (down to 87kg)

my weight continues to trend downwards at about a 1kg a week overall but it seems to bounce up and down quite wildly by 1-2kg every few days as it goes through the week.
think it's to do with water retention due to high carb diet with plenty of fibre so things are either being stored up or majorly flushed out.
so long as it keeps going down though i don't really give a shit. (well I do).

Yep, plenty of variance during a week.
Here are my daily weights plotted one line per week for the last 10 weeks or so. Wednesday (day 3 on the x-axis) is the day I use for my weekly weight. You can also see the effect of 6 or 7 pints on a Thursday night at Friday's (day 5) morning weigh in.

Massively cut down my booze intake, stopped eating red meat (mostly) and also cut out gluten four weeks ago... I've dropped 6kg in that time... I've hardly been on the bike in that time either, staggering...

This is me.
Went from 86kgs in April to a steady 74kg. That's the best part of two stone! It has been relatively straight forward...
30 miles a day on the commute. Rain or shine.
Squeeze in a 30 or 40 miler at least once a week after work.
Big rides at the weekend if I fancy it and the calendar allows.Sensible breakfast of bio yoghurt and a banana.
Carb light lunch most of the time.
Some kind of oily fish or lean chicken salad usually.Normal evening meal.
No snacking between meals.
Stay off the ale for three nights a week minimum.
Doing this curbed my appetite too, especially for sugary, white carby food, so once I got into the swing of it my portion sizes naturally came under control and the weight really shreded in the last 8 weeks.
Still want to drop another 6kgs before Easter.

Good work. I was pushing 90kg a few months ago, have managed to get down to around 78kg but am struggling to get lower. To be consistently under 75 would be great.

Out of interest, @WjPrince, how tall are you?

@WjPrince - Did you lose a limb in April or something?

I'm down from around 93kg early summer to around 77 now, but the downward trend is slowing down for sure. I'd like to get to the low 70's but at 195cm I'm already getting pretty lean. The difference on the bike is so noticeable though and I want it to continue!
I realize it is this
but I can't stop thinking that the folks behind
are now entering the hot beverage market.
